I have to collect information on administering disaster management for my holiday homework with pictures as well. Can anybody tell me anyother website except google, yahoo or wikipedia where i can find information or if u know anything pls tell me.I need as much information as possible.
http://www.disasterhelp.gov/
It means implementing disaster management plans that have been put in place. Every city/state/organization should have in place plans for managing a disaster…weather, terrorist, accidents…how to evacuate people, get help, etc. (see above url for putting together plans) (former US FED/DC)
like the emt i would like to help but your question is vague
emergency response to which field
terrorist

what role did the british have to play in the evacuation of Montserrat after the soufriere hills eruption in 1997? Especially in regards to the exclusion zone, MVO and volcanic activity!
Montserrat is a British overseas territory, so it had ultimate responsibility for ensuring the safety of the island’s population. Much of the island’s evacuation was run by the British Royal Navy, and the UK government provided some relief money to those who moved from Montserrat (this caused protests in the island, as islanders thought - perhaps with some justification - the amount offered was not enough). They also set up a five-yearplan to redevelop the northern part of the island, which was still habitable. It was also the British who set up the exclusion zone, the area in which people are no longer allowed to travel or live for safety reasons. This covers much of the south of the island. Understandably, in order to coordinate efforts they had to work with the Montserrat volcano Observatory, who had the best data on what was actually happening to the Soufriere Hills volcano.
There’s a full report on the British government’s response to the eruption in pdf form at http://www.dfid.gov.uk/Documents/publications1/evaluation/ev635.pdf
I overdrank last night and I’m underage. The emergency response unit for my campus came and took down my name, blood pressure, and how much I said I drank and when I asked if that would be used against me they said no as it was under patient confidentiality. Is this true in Canada?
I’m in Ontario and did not get a ticket
It is true, but it is a professional code of conduct rather than a legal one and they are allowed to divulge under specific circumstances but mainly ones involving further treatment.
In MTG, does the Evacuation card return cards from the graveyard to your hand?
It only works for creatures on the field. Creature cards are only "creatures" when they are on the field. When they are in your hand, library, graveyard or exile zone they are "creature cards".
A friend of mine started a SHTF emergency supply kit thread on Facebook. Each day someone generally adds an item or two that should be kept on hand in case a large scale natural disaster puts us in the survival mode. What about Armageddon? What should I stock up on just in case Satan is released from the abyss and Gog and Magog start whoopin’ up on us?
1. Plenty of toilet paper. Since Scott and Charmin will no longer be producing.
2. Razor blades. Schick is gone too.
3. Batteries. EverReady (no pun intended) bunny will never be hoping along anymore.
4. Water. All utilities will be silent until Jehovah miraculously turns the pumps back on.
5. Hand tools. No power no saws, drills. Most jw janitors will have to brush up on carpentry books so..
6. Bring along this book How to Build Your Way Out of Total Desolation in six easy lessons.
7. 12 pair of eyeglasses since 1 Hour Eyeglasses is gone forever.
8. At least 12 months of prescription drugs, just in case Jehovah did not spare the warehouses of Squibb & Co,
The above list approved by a unanimous vote of all us old codgers in Patterson New Jersey. Please do not write us, we are putting our kits together, time is short brothers!!!
Ive tried looking in google and it doesn’t give me much information on what im looking for . I need to find out how it happened, why it happened, how it could have been prevented , how the scientist got them out, and how they survived so long without any food. Please dont say wikipedia because my i dont know how to use it correctly.
face this question is complicated but I do not know
I ask since the gas (Vikane) is said to be toxic. I am very health-conscious. I know that the gas is odorless, but even after it has aired out, the residual will remain there. My sons both have asthma and I want to find a solution that is as effective as tenting, but will not requite evacuation.
assuming you know vikane (tenting) is used only for dry wood termites, most parts of the country and even areas where dry wood are located the most common termite is the subterranean species where tenting is not done. There is no residual left behind once the home has been aired out, it is just a one time kill, does nothing to keep termites from returning .
Actually if your company knows where the nest is at they can treat the galleries with an odorless liquid called Termidor…we don’t treat (have) dry wood termites here in Dallas, but termidor is approved for wall treatments of dry woods and as far as subterranean termites, I have yet to have a call back on any home that I have used the Termidor on.
