if you have such a …
if you have such a problem, then talk to the chief who’s in charge of the department. all your doing is wasting our time by typing out these “complaints”. and when you do complain to the head honcho, get your facts right. dont say it causes pollution without stats to show how it could be lowered, or anything like that. and yeah, its risky, but so is driving normally. we run lights and sirens to people who have crashed. go figure!

It is amazing that …
It is amazing that someone who claims to work for an ambulance service can complain about emergency response. I don’t need this and won’t tolerate you trying to preach from my video. Get a life and move on.

Code 4 is issued by …
Code 4 is issued by those ON SCENE.
Many EMS calls can be handled well by two people. At Metro Paramedic Ambulance, my partner and I rarely needed istance.
Responses are risky.
Some people have crashed stopping or pulling over for an emergency vehicle.
One family got stuck in snow.
So why continue unneeded trips?
Saves YOUR gas. Saves OUR pollution.
Saves OUR traffic disruption.
Unnecessary idling of apparatus and ambulances “all day long” is stupid.
You want to continue it?
September 14th, 2009 at 9:05 am
Personal vehicles …
Personal vehicles don’t have SIRENS, its against the law. Who says everyone drives rough on their own vehicle.
We pay for our own gas, so don’t worry about government dollars. I try not to stop traffic, but if they stop for me, I go. I doubt that us slowing our response in our small town is going to affect pollution, try talking to the guys that run the ambulances and fire trucks that idle them all day long.

We are a rural area …
We are a rural area, we all know how to drive, and are cautious. Fuel waste and pollution? That is strange, what if additional help was needed? So if your family was in an emergency and one person got to the scene all others should turn aruond and go home and not respond to the scene?
You are one of the most stupid people I have incurred.
September 14th, 2009 at 9:05 am
Your camera did …
Your camera did very well for not being mounted in some way!
Code 4 No Further istance Needed lowers risk.
Rescue personnel and citizens have been injured and killed from responding vehicles that were later found to be uneeded.
Also good to cease disturbing the peace from sirens and stopping traffic disruption, and ending fuel waste and pollution and wear and tear of uneeded driving.
They should start doing Code 4s for everyone’s benefit.

I like the song!
…
I like the song!
I didn’t really mount it on the dash, just put the camera there, its a Sony Cybershot DSC-H-2.
I could try, but the flash extends all the way across the dash, so at night it is probably no good.
We still respond at the same rate, because they might still need more istance. We are a TEAM.
September 14th, 2009 at 9:05 am
Nix the stupid …
Nix the stupid music.
You can set the exposure on your camcorder.
Good dash mount! How did you do it?
Can you place it at a better location on the dash so the light is not interfering?
Maybe it is affecting the exposure.
If others already on scene, don’t they have “Code 4″ so you can slow or cancel response?

that’s awesome! …
that’s awesome! what kind of light do you have. My chief says no running red lights or stop signs, but other vehicles should yield to you. We’re allowed to have blue lights in the state of Illinois, and believe me I do!
