The evacuation … The evacuation scene in this film frightens the out of me whenever I watch it, largely thanks to this score.
You can almost smell the presence of a huge, terrible menace lurking in the distance, like how you often see insects crawling out of the ground and pets acting strangely before an earthquake hits.
this soundtrack is … this soundtrack is very strange. it sounds melodramatic at first yet really grabs your attention and gets the gritty tone perfect then changes to something very gentle and emotional . wonderful movie, wonderful soundtrack
You don’t hear this … You don’t hear this kind of innovative music enough in movies anymore. This is the kind of stuff that really catches your attention
Did they sacrifice … Did they sacrifice the people that got left behind?…or just kill them…oh and at 3:53, it reminds me when the photographer is running with the people to the chopper…scarey
This was an … This was an impressive score and underlied the desperation of the evacuation scene and the foreboding of what was to happen to those left behind. One of the most visceral scenes in a war movie I’ve scene for the people involved really had no choices left to them.
keep thinking of … keep thinking of those big ch36 helicopters taking off, and the ambassador legging it outta there, christ it must have been awful in phnom penh.
