if your going by that one nuclear power plant then yes the cost of cleanup from the earthquake is much higher then the electricity generated by that plant.

keep in mind it was the earthquake and tsunami that caused the damage. this is not a Chernobyl, it is not 3 mile island. this was a direct result from a natural disaster not much different from the one that hit new orleans, and the other states along the gulf cost from a hurricane called katrina.

I am a high school student currently wanting to peruse a career in Emergency Medicine. I was wondering if anyone is currently working in Emergency Medicine and can give me some tips on it, and what to expect on the job. Thanks!

You don’t major in any medical specialty. Majoring is for undergraduate work, and you can major in anything and still go to medical school.

In med school, we all learn the same stuff. Following med school graduation, we do a residency in our chosen specialty, and that is where you may start learning emergency medicine.

That was my second choice for a specialty, but there was too much non-emergent stuff for my liking. I ended up in anesthesia, so all of my patients require critical care. Most don’t until I get to them, of course.
