      The tour operators are responsible for all the people stranded.

      Youre right mate we got back 12hrs ago and the people still hold their heads up if that was us in Australia we”d be crying for the camera we really are “THE LUCKY COUNTRY” Some guy giving a interview in the resort lobby for Fiji 1 “their T.V. station” say”s ohh the resort nearly out of FOOD you toughen up these poor s were sitting on their roofs when we caught the Helicopter to the Airport.

      Wow it looked really bad, im currently in fiji and it hasnt stopped raining for the past few days, we drove through nadi yesterday and the water had lowered, but we have been told that more storms are coming so they think the rivers will flood again

      It breaks my heart to see Fiji ( was born and lived there till 95) in such terrible condition……. even though people have gone thru so much , they still manage to smile and say “bula”…
      I wish I could do something…. !!

      i am supose o fly there on monday and my family has lost the holiday money (all of it because of the floods)
      i dont thing its possible for it all to be cleared up by monday???

      Unfortunately waqadra was hit quite badly, unless they are on a high place chances are they were evacuated to higher ground.

      The bridge into Nadi town was completely screwed and i don’t think anyone can go into town as yet.

      Due to research …
      Due to research I’ve personally done, I have found that ‘Nadi, Ba and Rakiraki Towns’ were only affected the most. Other than that Waqadra was not affected. So brother, don’t worry.

      my brother and his girlfriend were staying at my aunt and uncles place and needed a truck to get them to the airport!
      tuesday and wednesday is expected to get 80 mil

      Denerau was pretty good when we left. It was the roads between Denerau and Nadi that were the problem. More rain today though

      Wise. You wouldn’t get out of Nadi at the moment. It’s worse today than yesterday. The Denarau road (ie Narewa Rd) is closed. Narewa Village is totally under water.

      … and due to worsen by Wednesday apparently.

      Thank you - thought as much (to both questions). Suspect your video was Denarau Rd (ie Narewa Rd) to intersection/traffic island at Nadi Bridge, then you turned left ie the blue shops on left. Thanks again.

      I’ve also found the Fiji TV website which contains all their news broadcasts so that has been very helpful too.

      You returned home just in time by the looks. So sad!
