Every month or so our basement drain floods when we use the washer. I have had two plumbers and Roto Rooter out here in the last three months. When they show up, it generally doesn’t flood for them:) How do I solve this long-term?
The washer is in the "basement" and drains to a pipe on/in (?) the wall…the water is coming up from the drain that is on the floor…and that is the ONLY drain on the floor in the basement…Is there another way to drain the washer? There is no utility sink in this room (and no room for one)…Thanks sooooo much for the helpful advice!
If it is really FD (floor drain) you should have also a CO ( clean out) on the drain line , loose its cover push a steel wire 1/8 inch in the direction of flow several times during puring water in the FD by a hose of pressure source until all deposits and strings are removed
it is a mechanical cleaning method I successfully used it

The drain you speak of is not a drain but a sump. That means it only drains slowly into the ground and not a main.

Reroute the washer drain into your main drain.
