On 08/28/2005, New Orleans was under a mandatory evacuation and the panic was now everywhere. Katrina was now a Category 5 Hurricane in the Gulf Of Mexico and everyone wanted to get out of the path of Katrina. Footage shows the Massive Evacuation on Interstate 10 at Williams and Veterans with traffic backed up for miles and miles in both directions. A video recorded before the Katrina victims were evacuated from New Orleans to the Astrodome. At this time the people that chose to stay were still at the Superdome and the convention center.
Before the flaming starts, let me say that I really lean right and I really don’t like Cooper that much but it was just awesome to see someone out a leader for their lack of concern over those victims.
